"I believe her to be dead." She says after checking her pulse, "Hook her to the machine just in case and take her to the secondary med bay. She looks as the recruit walks away,

"Captain," a voice calls and looks their way.

"You can just call me mother, you know." She says as she pulls the young man into a hug, and ruffles his hair.

"I know." He says as he escapes her grasp, and stands straight up, "But, I just want to learn the way everyone else does. No privileges."

"Well then. Recruit Jordan, what is the matter?" She asks, trying to hide her smile.

"We've found a floater, presumed to comatose." he states, as he begins to lead her to the person, "She was found floating into open ocean."

"Well it's a good thing we found her just in time." She stops at the door next to him and pulls out her glasses, "I assume she's undergone full procedure?"

    "Yes ma'am."

"So why has she not been carted?"

"Well that's the thing ma'am. Lieutenant Topher sent for you because of this." He opens the door to the side room, and there lies a young lady, her body limp, and no noticeable chest movement. Everyone in the room who once surrounded her looks up to see the captain.

"Female, young adult, twenty, maybe younger." she checks her pulse, "Alive, but well retreating." She pulls out her flashlight, and looks at her eyes, "Unresponsive." The captain takes off her glasses and looks at the Lieutenant, "I don't understand, she is, in fact confirmed, comatose. Why has she not been carted?"

"We found her with this in her mouth." Lieutenant Topher says, as he steps forward with pieces of wet technology in his hand, "We've scanned all systems, finding nothing. It isn't registered anywhere."

"Okay..." The captain says as she takes it slowly, examining it.

"Also." The lieutenant says as he pulls out a pocket knife. "We found her with cicatrices on the back of her head and straight down her spine." The captain face contorts in confusion,

     "But if that's true then-"

"She should be dead. Yes but," He takers her arm and makes an incision in it. Captain Loraine begins to protest, but stops, as the cut begins to slowly heal itself leaving another cicatrix.

"You don't think..." The Captain says as she examines the piece. She then looks a the nape of the neck and find an all to familiar symbol. She ushers everyone out and lowers her voice when it was suspected to be just her and the Lieutenant "This is one of hers. We would be better off returning it to Siren's Island."

"But she could be a scientific revolution. I think we would be better off keeping her. Think about it. We could-"

"That's inhumane. The things that happen on Siren's Island are already devastating. It's true we could be saving someone's life, but then we'd have to deal with her. And getting tangled up with her isn't something I want for anyone on this ship."

    "But-"

"No." The captain says firmly, "Last time I checked, my name was Loraine J. Elskin, not yours. Meaning I am Captain, making me your superior. I get the final word, what I say goes."

    "Yes ma'am."

Her eyes shoot open, as she finally awakes from her hours long sleep. The sound of crashing can be heard throughout the empty hallway. She slowly gets up confused as to where she is and what has happened. Her memories, and her eyesight becoming fuzzy, she stumbles about the room. Her limbs are weak, her strength- virtually nonexistent, but her determination to leave the room is strong and rooted deep. With her heart and mind set on nothing else, she finds her way about the room. Upon escaping she lets of a sigh of relief, she had made it. A frown soon appeared upon her face, and she realizes she now has to find her way through a maze of hallways.

"She's gone." Jordan says, stopping to take a breath, "I went to restock her water supply and make sure that the machines were right. When I opened the door, she wasn't there." Captain Loraine looks at him, her eyes wide. The lack of sleep, and stress has gotten to her in this short week.

"Well she couldn't have gone far Jordan. It's a ship, sitting in a lake. She really couldn't have just up and disappeared." She looks around thinking, "Get the recruits and the workmen. She needs to be found."
